The dancers took to the floor of the Coon Rapids High School field house Oct. 6 to strut their stuff as part of the fall danceline show.
The Coon Rapids Cardettes were joined by the mini Cardettes, tiny dancers, who between pre-kindergarten and eighth-grade, on the dance floor.
The day of the show the 54 Cardettes, the high school dance team, taught the 115 mini Cardettes the dance steps, said Molly Bott, the Cardettes winter coach.
Each of the three mini Cardette groups taking part in the Oct. 6 show performed a one-minute dance routine.
In addition to spending the day learning the dances, the mini Cardettes also played fun games with the older dancers during the three and half hour clinic, Bott said.
The clinic is a fund-raiser for the Cardettes’ winter season, she said.
A lot of the mini Cardettes came back to the clinic after participating in previous years.
“It is fun to see them come back,” Bott said.
