Anoka County Sheriff James Stuart swore in the latest member of the Tri-County Forensic Lab, Anne Ciecko, Oct. 8.
Forensic Scientist Ciecko comes to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office with a wealth of knowledge and experience, according to Stuart.
Ciecko attended Otterbein College in Ohio and received a bachelor of science degree in life science/biology and she has a master of forensic sciences degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
She joins Anoka County with four years of genomic research, followed by 11 years of forensic laboratory experience at the BCA Laboratory, where she was the DNA technical leader.
Ciecko is fully trained and court qualified in forensic DNA.
“The Tri-County Regional Forensics Laboratory has long been waiting for this day,” Stuart said.
“Anne’s professional background, strong work ethic and positive attitude make her a perfect fit for our team and I am very excited to see her bring our path to DNA analysis to completion.
“We are also excited to see the level of services to our citizens be enhanced through this amazing forensic process.”
