Williams family logs 142 years service to East Bethel Fire Department

Three Williams brothers and their families, which include a total of nine, are currently or have served with the East Bethel Fire Department for a total of 142 years. Two are charter members.

Howard Williams, charter member since 1959, served for 22 years. Howard was captain of the engine company.

Beverly Williams, wife of Howard, served for 15 years and was the first female firefighter for East Bethel Fire Department. She was also an EMT for Health Central when service was started in the East Bethel area.

They have three sons. Kevin and Jason both joined the department and served a total of seven years, but have now moved from the area. Richard continues with the fire department, and is currently in his 33rd year.

Ron Williams, charter member, served for five years until he moved out of the area. When he moved from East Bethel he held the position of assistant fire chief.

Dale Williams, retired after 45 years of dedicated service to the community. In his 45 years he held many positions, four of those years as fire chief.

Jackie Williams (deceased), wife of Dale, served for 10 years.

Todd Williams, son of Dale and Jackie, served on the East Bethel Fire Department for five years and is currently fire marshal for the city of Coon Rapids.
