The Women of Peace-hosted event began Friday evening and continued Saturday morning and early afternoon.

People were able to shop for handmade gifts, crafts, baked goods and lefse.

There was also a children’s shop, where children were able to shop for Christmas gifts for family members without parents being present.

Children purchased gifts for 25 cents, 50 cents and $1, with adult volunteers wrapping the purchases for them.

In addition, goulash, cole slaw, dinner roll and dessert were served for supper Friday evening, while a noon lunch of vegetable beef soup, hot dogs, cheesy garlic bread and pickles was served Saturday by volunteers.

Proceeds from the boutique went to church projects such as Meals on Wheels, Loaves and Fishes and the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) hunger appeal.
