Spring Lake Park voters return Nash, Nelson to the council

Spring Lake Park voters chose experienced elected officials to serve on the Spring Lake Park City Council when they were in the voting booth Nov. 6.

Given the opportunity to elect two new councilmembers, voters selected former Mayor Bob Nelson with 25.21 percent of the vote, 1,219 votes, to replace retiring Councilmember Barb Carlson, and incumbent Councilmember Bill Nash with 954 votes to return to his council seat.

Coming in a close third was Jason Letourneau with 18.28 percent of the vote.

Dan Lambert received 699 votes, while Tony Easter earned 683 votes.

Larry Raymond received 7.71 percent of the vote.
