Anoka High School is inviting all veterans from the community to join the school Friday, Nov. 9 and be honored during its Veterans Day assembly.
The assembly runs from 7:40 to 8:25 a.m. in the school’s fieldhouse.
It is tradition for the students to gather and mark the day that honors those who have served in the military.
“Not only is it a chance for us to recognize the veterans who have served our country, but it is an educational opportunity for our students on why we celebrate Veterans Day,” said Tim Feine, assistant principal at Anoka High School.
There will be reserved seating for any veterans who attend, along with their families. Veterans should arrive at the school at 7:30 a.m. where they will be greeted and shown to their seats.
