The show will be held Friday, Nov. 16, 7 p.m. at the district’s Fine Arts Performing Center. Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for children, students and seniors. For ticket and show information, visit www.SpringLakeParkSchools.org. Tickets will also be available at the door (until sold out).

The event features administrators, school board members and staff in zany skits, bona fide talent, dancing, singing and much more. This year features a student house band. Take part in the fun as the acts vie for the coveted traveling trophy for best skit.

“It’s a great family-friendly event,” said Chris Hasling, Panther Foundation chairman. “The teachers commit to putting on a show, a spectacle of a show, for the foundation.”

One hundred percent of the money raised goes to the Panther Foundation. Proceeds are turned into grant awards that directly benefit students.

Once again this year, a pre-Folleeez pizza party will be held 6 to 6:45 p.m. fine arts center building. Pizza and beverage are $3.

Turkey Shoot

If you’re looking to make a full evening of it, the Spring Lake Park Recreation Department is hosting its annual Turkey Shoot from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Spring Lake Park High School Auxiliary Gymnasium (enter the high school on the Highway 65 side and look for direction signs to the event).

The free family event features low-key competition as parent and child team up in an attempt to win a Thanksgiving turkey. The “shoot” features basketball free throw, floor hockey shoot, soccer kick, football pass and Frisbee toss competitions. Age category of events are: children ages 5-7, children ages 8-10 and children ages 11-13.

The event is free, but please bring non-perishable food items to donate to SACA (Southern Anoka Community Assistance) Food Shelf. Last year the event brought in 230 pounds of food.

The high school and fine arts center are located at 1100 81st Ave. N.E., Spring Lake Park.
