The theme of the event was shop local.

“We want to promote the fact that these are local businesses,” said Lori Higgins, president of the MetroNorth Chamber of Commerce.

The expo was at the Center Court next to Herberger’s for the first time and Higgins said the foot traffic was “phenomenal.”

There were a wide variety of businesses for people to find out about or reconnect with. There were local restaurants, healthy living businesses and clinics, a senior living community and much more.
