Legion welcomes new members

The Anoka Unit 102 American Legion Auxiliary held its annual early bird dinner Oct. 8 at the post club rooms.

After the dinner the past president’s parley held an initiation ceremony for 10 new members. Part of the ceremony was to graduate three junior auxiliary members to senior members. They were Tracy Hall, Michelle Hall and Samantha Odegard.

Membership Chairperson Betty Erickson passed out continuous years’ pins to those that had more than 20 years of membership in the auxiliary.

The traditional silent auction was held to support the Netha Feist Scholarship fund and the National American Legion Auxiliary Foundation fund.
