Live at the Library will feature the group at Northtown Library, Saturday, Dec. 1, 2 p.m.

This program is free and open to the public, but seating may be limited.

The trio will take the audience on a guided tour through the legacy left by great American jazz musicians while showing how their works have impacted American culture and music.

“Jazz came about at a time of great transition in our country so this program is certain to be entertaining and educational.”

Jazz is a uniquely American type of music, according to Anoka County Library Board Vice President Cathy Montain.

“Listen to where the music takes you and learn all about jazz along the way,” Montain said,

The program is presented by GL Berg and Anoka County Library in partnership with MELSA (Metropolitan Library Service Agency).

It is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
