ABC Newspapers staff receive awards, top excellence for Union

The Anoka County Union and ABC Newspapers staff members were honored for their work in the 2012 ECM Better Newspaper contest.

The Union received first place for general excellence. The award recognizes the excellence of the newspaper as a whole with judges considering depth, breadth and quality of news coverage, the quality of the editorial page as a whole and the quantity and quality of pictorial material as well as the overall appearance of the newspaper.

“It’s a huge honor for the Anoka County Union to be recognized for the Elmer L. Andersen Award for General Excellence. Every person on the news team at ABC Newspapers contributes to the Union so this award is a testament to the hard work and talents of our entire staff,” said Mandy Moran Froemming, editor the Union and the Blaine Spring Lake Park Life.
