People can share the fun and magic of books and reading with needy children in Anoka County by donating new, unwrapped books for children and young adults to any Anoka County Library and the Anoka County History Center through Nov. 30.
Donations to Project Bookshelf will be accepted at all Anoka County Library locations during November. Project Bookshelf has been an annual library project since the 1980s.
“The joy of reading is a lifelong gift,” said Anoka County Commissioner and Anoka County Library Board liaison Jim Kordiak.
Books collected will be given to Anoka County food shelves, including ACBC, CEAP, Centennial Community Food Shelf, NACE and SACA for distribution to kids in need.
