A 26-year-old Andover man was arraigned Nov. 6 in Anoka County District Court on a felony first-degree burglary charge.
Cory Lawrence Rosa, 15255 Round Lake Blvd. N.W., will make his next court appearance Dec. 3.
According to the criminal complaint, an Andover resident on the 15100 block of Round Lake Boulevard called police Nov. 3 to report a burglary in progress.
When deputies arrived they saw that a back door had been kicked in and there were fresh footprints on the grass.
The deputies found two people hiding in the home, who said they had come downstairs after hearing noises and that a man had kicked open the back door to gain access. They saw the man and gave police a physical description.
A gray plaid hooded sweatshirt that did not belong to them was in the living room and the contents of the refrigerator had been removed and thrown on the floor.
A K9 officer was brought in to track the suspect. During the search, a man came over to police and said his son-in-law was out of control. Police went to the nearby home and the two people who had seen a man kick open their door allegedly identified Rosa as this man.
According to the complaint, Rosa denied any involvement, saying he had been home all night drinking beer and working on his four-wheeler.
