After two losses by a total of 16 points, Andover won its first game of the season, downing Armstrong 75-58 to improve to 1-4 overall, 1-3 in the Northwest Suburban Conference standings, Dec. 6.

The Huskies built a 13 point halftime lead and made that stand in the second half as McKenzie Becker had a game-high 21 points and Olivia Graham pulled in 13 rebounds in the win.

The Tornadoes couldn’t overcome a six-point halftime deficit as one of the Northwest Suburban Conference favorites – Osseo, did enough to pick up a 49-43 win at Anoka Dec. 6.

Anoka had a chance to reach a 3-0 start on its home court, but Janay Morton’s game-high 17 points helped spoil Anoka’s chances.
