Andover dropped a Northwest Suburban Conference dual match to Osseo 45-24, Dec. 7. The Huskies won 5-of-14 matches with one by fall, thanks to Troy Sperl (152) who recorded the pin over Tony Gamache 3:01 into the match.

The Saints finished fifth out of eight teams at the Big Lake Invitational, scoring 137 points Dec. 7. Monticello won the tournament title by nine points over North Branch.
The Saints had three weight-class champions including seniors Taylor Charles (160) and Conan Sandberg (220) plus junior heavyweight Adam Blue.
Charles improved to 6-1 this season after winning the 160-pound class including a fall in 30 seconds in the opening round, followed by a 2-1 decision over Big Lake’s Cody Knaeble in the semifinals to set up a match against Monticello’s Carter Barnes. Charles recorded a 9-3 decision in the finals.
Sandberg went 3-0, including a 9-2 decision over Rush City’s Jacob Lynch in the finals.
Blue went 3-0 with two pins including a fall over North Branch’s Seamus Hunter at 1:46.
St. Francis sophomore Aaron Wilson dropped his opening-round match against North Branch’s Reid Johnson 6-2 before he won the next two matches to place third. He pinned Sartell’s Sam Krauel in 1:44 for third place.
Saints senior Alex Eastman went 2-1 which included a pin in 1:35 to secure third place at 152 pounds. Senior Tyler Reitz (182) won four straight matches to claw his way to the third place title at 170 pounds. He earned two majors and a 9-2 decision in the third-place bout.
Sophomores Andrew Wasche (120) and Alex Wilson (138) placed fifth. Wasche won his fifth place match with a 12-3 major decision and Wilson recorded a pin over Big Lake’s Parker Millam at 1:29.
Eighth-grader Mason Hall (113) and Tyler Dahlstrom (132) each placed sixth.
