Senior’s holiday dinner rescheduled

The Coon Rapids VFW Auxiliary’s 30th annual holiday dinner for Coon Rapids seniors fell victim to Sunday’s major snow storm.

But the postponed event was only pushed back a week – to Sunday, Dec. 16.

Punch will be served at noon with the keyboard music of Marcie Sparks and a sing-a-long.

Dinner of turkey and all the fixings will be served at 1 p.m.

Some 200 people are expected at the dinner, which is open to Coon Rapids senior citizens, age 55 and over, and members of the Coon Rapids Super Senior Club.

The cost is $5. All proceeds go to the VFW Auxiliary’s expenses.
