Nora Olson, 55
Nora May (Beckenbach, Salazar) Olson of Walker, MN died at 4:12am Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.
Raised in Anoka, MN, Nora was tragically taken by pneumonia after battling Lung & Brain Cancer for 2 months.
She had at her bedside guiding her spirit was Pastor Mark, spouse Paul Olson, daughters from Texas, Jenny Arredondo, Laura Salazar & granddaughter KiKi, and lifelong friends Chris, Bryn & Kim Theobald-Stark.
Nora has a “grand” personality. Her whole self went into everything she did from her work at Stille Havn Hus, to Macrame, Artwork, Scout Leader, float maker, costume maker & friend. Her big heart accepted, comforted & entertained those blessed to know her. Nora loved the color purple for “hope”, and lighthouses.
Fulfillment of her last wishes that there be no service, but a spring picnic gathering & attendance of ashes for those closest will be announced.
In her cancer journal she never lost sight of her hope, faith, support of friends & family, and believed in a peaceful end & new beginning with a hello to all her loved ones who await her on the other side.
Nora is additionally grateful to & survived by her son Ryan Olson of Walker, brother Paul Beckenbach, sisters Mary, Rita, Wendy, Carol her close extended family of the Staff & residents who had her heart at the Stille Havn Hus.
Preceded by her parents, Lowell & Gladys Beckenbach, siblings Keith & Lola.

(Nora was sole supporter of her family of three without insurances).
