Legacy students sing in honors choirs

Legacy Christian Academy students Cali Weddle, Abigail Hennen and Joshua Carey were selected to participate in the American Choral Director’s Association seventh- and eighth-grade honor choirs.

They performed at the 50th anniversary celebration Nov. 16, 2012 at St. Andrew’s Church in Mahtomedi with conductors Karen Fulmer and Tim Peter.

Weddle, Hennen and Carey are members of the Festival Choir at Legacy Christian Academy under the leadership of Linda Schlueter.

Nicholas Broden, a freshman at LCA, was selected for both the National ACDA Honor Choir and the Minnesota ACDA ninth- and 10th-grade honor choir and will be performing in Dallas, Texas, for the National ACDA Convention in March and at the MMEA Convention in Minneapolis in February.

Janson Rudzitis, a senior at LCA, was selected for Minnesota Music Education Association All-State Choir and for the ACDA-MN 11th- and 12th-grade honor choir to perform at the MMEA Convention in February and the 50th anniversary ACDA Conference in November with Conductor Rene Clausen of Concordia College, Moorhead, Choir.

Broden and Rudzitis are members of the Concert Choir at Legacy Christian Academy under the leadership of Schlueter.
