St. Francis gymnastics scored a season-high points total (133.525 points) to place 11th among 15 teams at the 33rd annual Lakeville North Invitational Jan. 12.
The Saints also posted season-high totals on the vault (34.9) and uneven parallel bars (32.4) as ninth-grader Natalie Wasche landed a difficult tuck tsuk for a team-high 9.2 on the vault to place 15th among the 75 vaulters. She posted a season-high all-around score of 34.875 points and senior Katie Bownik also posted a season-high all-around of 33.5 points.
Senior Mackenzie Walsh finished with a 32.45 and sophomore Celine Eide scored a 31.9 in the all-around. Eide’s 8.8 on the vault was second-best for the Saints.
The 133.525 score is the third team total above 131 points, meaning the Saints are moving in the right direction with three duals and one invitational left before the North Suburban Conference tournament slated for Feb. 9, followed by the Section 7AA meet Feb. 15.
