After reviewing the eight proposals and interviewing three candidates, the Spring Lake Park City Council unanimously approved hiring CPMI as the construction manager for the public work building project.
Cost, Planning and Management International, Inc, (CPMI), Eagan, had been providing construction management services for over 40 years, said Assistant City Administrator Dan Buchholtz at the Dec. 17 meeting.
CMPI, which provided the lowest quote, has a fixed fee at $46,350.
Anticipated reimbursable expenses are expected to be $1,998, bringing the total cost to $48,348, Buchholtz said.
The architectural services and construction management services will be approximately 15 percent of the project cost, which is pretty standard, he said.
“CMPI has worked on projects ranging from the $1.2 million renovation project for Ham Lake City Hall to $130 million Xcel Energy Center,” Buchholtz said.
In Spring Lake Park, the company will be working on a 6,000 square-foot addition being added to the city’s existing public works detached garage.
