Nowthen Lions ice fishing contest takes to the ice Feb. 2

Ice fishing enthusiasts will take to East Twin Lake Feb. 2 for the annual Nowthen Lions Club ice fishing contest.

The fourth annual event begins with registration at 9 a.m., with the contest beginning at 11 a.m.

There are prizes for the three largest fish caught, with $250 for first, $100 for second and $50 for third.

There are also door prizes throughout the event, kids prizes and a same day raffle.

Hot food and drinks will be available for purchase on the ice.

Tickets are $10 per hole and are available in advance and on the lake.

No portable ice houses, coolers or glass containers are allowed on the ice.
