Eleanor Louise (Barton) Hadley, Age 90, of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Anoka, MN, went to be with The Lord on February 2, 2013, surrounded by her loving family, on what would have been her 70th wedding anniversary. She was born on November 22, 1922 in Superior, WI, the third daughter of Lester J. and Alma (Trisko) Barton. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Charles S. Hadley and three sisters. She is survived by her eleven children, 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Eleanor was a devout member of St Stephen’s Catholic Church in Anoka, and St Andrew’s Catholic Church in Cape Coral, Fl. She was a long time member of women’s circle and Council of Catholic Women at both churches. An avid golfer, Eleanor was president of Anoka Women’s Golf Club in 1972, and achieved a hole-in-one in her golfing career at the Forest Country Club in Ft Myers, FL. She loved holidays, was an enthusiastic cook, and was always creating beautiful home-made gifts for her loved ones. She spent many happy hours growing flowers and vegetables in her gardens and took pride in her beautiful homes. Her cheerful smile and amazing sense of humor will be sorely missed by all her loving family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Monday, February 11, 2013, 11 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Anoka, followed by a reception in the church community room.
