Conservation district taking tree orders

The Anoka Conservation District is still taking pre-orders for the annual tree and shrub sale.

The program sells trees and shrubs in bare root and seedlings, approximately 18-24 inches in height in bundles of 10 and 25, amounting to a little more then $1 per tree.

The tree/shrub pick up in on April 27 at the Anoka County Fairgrounds from 8 to 10 a.m.

Once there, go to the tree sale products section of the website and click on the species title which contains links to detailed descriptions and photographs of each of the varieties being offered.

The website also contains information about the kinds of trees and shrubs to plant in a particular situation along with planting directions.
