The Feb. 15 fire at the trailer in the Oak Terrace Mobile Home Park, 6545 Highway 10 N.W., started around 3:15 p.m. in an enclosed porch and spread to the two-bedroom trailer’s kitchen/living room, said Fire Marshal Matt Kohner.

No one was home at the time, but two family dogs died, he said.

The fire is still under investigation, but it appears the fire started in the porch area from a work light, Kohner said.
