CRUMC hosts annual Puppet Festival next weekend

Next weekend, puppeteers, ventriloquists, artists and performers will take the stage and proclaim the gospel message with energetic articulation, mesmerizing melody and creative communication of all sorts when Coon Rapids United Methodist Church hosts the annual Puppet Festival March 8 and 9.

The event, presented by Colorado-based Creative Ministry Solutions, takes place at the church 6 to 10 p.m. Friday evening, March 8 and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 9.

The festival is open to children’s ministry workers, puppet team directors, creative arts enthusiasts, Sunday school teachers and family worship leaders.

Workshops and performances include puppet ministry, stick ministry, ventriloquism, lip synching, ballooning and much more.

Puppets, scripts, puppet stages and CDs will be on sale during the festival while supplies last.

Cost is $38 per person. The per person group rate (for six or more registered at the same time) is $34.

Coon Rapids United Methodist Church is located at 10506 Hanson Blvd. N.W., Coon Rapids.
