Ramsey man charged with threatening to set woman on fire

A 30-year-old Ramsey man has been charged in Anoka County District Court for allegedly threatening to set a woman on fire.

Adeola Adisa Adeogun, who lives on the 14800 block of Peridot St., was arraigned in court on felony terroristic threats and misdemeanor domestic assault charges.

According to the complaint, a woman called to report a domestic assault Feb. 23.

When officers arrived after 8:30 p.m., the woman was standing the garage with no shoes or coat and was crying with two young children, who were also crying.

The woman said she had been arguing with Adeogun all day and the argument included some pushing and shoving on both sides.

At one point, Adeogun had sent the children upstairs to their rooms, then went out into the garage and allegedly came back with a gas can.

According to the woman’s account, Adeogun said he had gas, a lighter and he was going to set her on fire.

The woman ran from the house and called 911. Her children followed her out into the garage.
