The Minesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) released its basketball honors for the 2012-13 season Feb. 28.
The women’s side was broken down by division with three teams in each division.
Among the honorees were four Anoka-Ramsey players on the fifth-ranked squad in the nation, including two All-Southern Division First Team members: sophomores Tacita Gonzalez and Kelli Schramm. Freshman Nicole Schaub was named to the second team and sophomore Cami Bauer earned a place on the honorable mention squad.
The lone Anoka-Ramsey men’s basketball player named to the conference team was freshman Montez Wilkerson. He also garnered All-South Division honors as one of the top 15 vote-getters from the division coaches and earned all-state honors as the top 15 from the combined divisions earn the nod.
Wilkerson averaged a team-high 15.2 points per game which was ninth in the southern division and led the MCAC in three-pointers with 86 made shots (35.8 percent) and averaged 4.6 rebounds per game. He was named MCAC Southern Division Player of the Week twice.
