Two changes have been made for this year’s edition of the largest youth soccer tournament in the western hemisphere, the Schwan’s USA CUP.
The mid-July international youth soccer tournament will have fewer Puma logos as the apparel company is no longer part of the tournament after six years.
Sport NGIN, a technology platform behind many amateur teams, leagues, tournaments, events and sports organizations, is the new presenting sponsor.
Sport NGIN (pronounced Engine) will manage the registration of more than 950 teams, schedule play on 46 grass fields (teams and referee assignments) and other operations for the tournament.
Eastbay, a Wausau, Wis.-based sporting goods retailer, is the official on-site retailer and will manage the store inside the Sport Expo Center on the National Sports Center campus in Blaine.
Eastbay will offer multiple brands and in a press release said, “Athletes will also be able to get advice from Eastbay’s on-site experts on which gear is best for them.”
USA CUP does not have an official apparel sponsor for this season.
The tournament will include a Super Elite division with 32 teams across four divisions and two age groups (14s and 16s) boys and girls.
This bracket replaces the PUMA vElite division which brought in PUMA-sponsored clubs from across the country for a top-tier tournament.
