Peggy Thomas, national American Legion Auxiliary president from Richmond, Va., was in Minnesota recently and was the guest at the Osseo American Legion Post March 6.

Coon Rapids American Legion Auxiliary President Helen Steffen was among those attending the dinner.

Also at the dinner from the Coon Rapids Auxiliary were Linda Thompson, National Executive Committee chairperson and junior past department president; Laura Blue, junior past 10th District president; Joyce Semmel, wife of Detachment Sons of the American Legion Commander Gary Semmel; Flora Ellefson, past 10th District president; and Anne Steffen, Arlene Wilson, Diane Bohlman and Lavonne Hayes.

Thompson, together with Department of Minnesota President Raleen Tolzmann, Department Secretary Sandi Deutsch and Department Membership Chairperson Tammy Opland traveled with Thomas during her visit to Minnesota.

They went to many auxiliaries during the week for breakfast, lunch and dinner in Thomas’ honor.

“National president Peggy was given the warmest Minnesota nice welcome wherever she went,” said Diane Bohlman, Coon Rapids American Legion Auxiliary public relations chairperson.
