Some 1,300 people stopped by to check out 96 exhibits, including some staffed by city and county representatives ready to respond to questions, explain city codes and describe coming developments.

A kids’ workshop offered free wood building projects for the little ones, a popular attraction during the day-long event.

Cub Scout Pack 609 collected 12 boxes of non-perishable food items and $100 in cash given as donations for the ACBC Food Shelf.

The 2013 home improvement show was sponsored by the cities of Andover, Anoka, and Coon Rapids, as well as Anoka County and the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce.
