Tillotson a hit at Anoka Lions’ annual music show

Country/pop star Johnny Tillotson signs an autograph for fan Shari Cloutier of Fridley after his concert March 23 at Anoka High School.LionsFundRaiTillotson was featured performer in the Anoka Lions Club 25th annual Country Music Show. The event drew more than 1,000 people to two shows performed that day (one a matinee).

Bill Dubats, concert chairman, estimates the Lions netted about $10,000 from the event, money that will be donated to charities. The Killer Vees, with rocker Bobby Vee’s two sons Tommy and Jeff, opened the show and backed Tillotson.Photo by Elyse Kaner
