Large fish plentiful at Norris Lake

Norris lake, just southwest of St. Francis, possibly a dozen miles from Anoka was teeming with great game fish last year as Walton disciples went right by it to seek bass and pike in northern Minnesota. Had they known what sport they might have had, but it’s too late now, for when the ice went out last week, hundreds of dead fame fish made an almost unbearable stench on the shores.

Archie Freeburg, John Blair and Guy Walton visited the lake Sunday and state the black bass averaged from 11/2 to 51/2 pounds and the walleyed pike from 11/2 to 7 pounds.
