The event, held at The Refuge Golf Club, is a fun way to raise funds for scholarships benefiting St. Francis High School graduates, said Joe Haag, foundation president.

The golf club is located at 21250 Yellow Pine St. N.W., Oak Grove.

The goal this year is to raise funds for 12 $500 scholarships as well as the new Jaque Stein Scholarship that will be awarded to a special education student, Haag said.

Stein, the St. Francis School District 15’s special services director for 17 years, died Jan. 12.

The event will include a silent auction with approximately 40 items and a diamond earring raffle.

Tickets for the earring raffle will be $10 each, Haag said.

Other raffle items up for grabs that night will include a $400 spa package and a trip for two to Nevada as well as a meat raffle.

The cost for the evening is $50 and includes a buffet dinner with fish and pork loin.

Reservations will be taken until April 15.
