The show, a tradition in the city, features skaters from Coon Rapids and surrounding communities.

The performers will skate to a variety of music in the “Movies and Popcorn” show. A popular part of the program is the father-daughter performance, featuring 18 couples. Skaters range in age from four to adult.

Zawadzki is scheduled to perform on Saturday and Sunday. Originally from Chicago, Ill., she now trains in Colorado Springs, Colo.

She is the 2013 National bronze medalist, 2010 U.S. Junior champion and two time Junior World medalist.

Zawadzki is a strong contender to represent the United States at next year’s Sochi Olympic Games in Russia.

Colleen Okolski, figure skating aerialist, will be the featured performer on Friday night. Okolski will entertain the audience with her unique blend of ice acrobatics and skating.

She is a former U.S. Junior National pairs champion with her brother Ben.

Tickets for all of the performances go on sale at the Ice Center beginning Monday, April 15. Tickets can also be purchased at the door on the day of the performances.
