Final budget cuts made by SLP school board

It took three tries in one area of general fund reductions involving class sizes before the Spring Lake Park School Board was able to break the 3-3 tie, putting them over the $225,000 cutting margin with $241,640.

Family Fun Day

To be exact, there were 40 activities to choose from at the second annual District 16 Community Service’s Family Fun Day.

There was a steady flow of families coming to the event throughout the day, to take part in everything from face painting to basketball contests to swimming. On a more serious note, there were bike safety tips and DARE programs from the local police departments, the District 16 Parental Involvement Program and the Fridley Jaycees–Minnesota Missing Children booth.
