Blaine police report for the week of April 5-11

Theft, Burglary

• On April 9 at 7 a.m. in the 10800 block of Town Square Drive N.E., a theft from business was reported.

• On April 9 at 1:50 p.m. in the 760 block of 121st Lane N.E., a woman reported that she was missing some jewelry. She was unsure if she had misplaced it or if someone had stolen it.

• On April 10 at 5:30 p.m. in the 1520 block of 87th Ave. N.E., a delayed burglary report was made. Copper was stolen from an abandoned property.

• On April 10 at 10:26 p.m. in the 1850 block of 105th Avenue N.E., it was reported that a vehicle window was smashed and a black canvas bag containing an HP laptop was stolen.

Criminal Property Damage

• On April 5 at 3:50 p.m. in the 10500 block of Quincy Blvd. N.E., a damaged back garage service door was reported.

• On April 6 at 1:36 a.m. in the 12000 block of Central Avenue N.E., it was reported that all four tires of a vehicle were slashed.

• On April 8 at 12:26 p.m. in the 520 block of 87th Lane N.E., it was reported that the rear window of a vehicle was smashed out. Nothing was missing from the vehicle.

Assaults

• On April 5 at 9:11 p.m. at the intersection of Quincy Boulevard N.E. and 109th Lane N.E., a fight between multiple males was reported.

• On April 8 at 7:01 p.m. in the 390 block of Northtown Drive N.E., it was reported that a man was shot with a BB gun. Another man was arrested.

DWIs

• On April 5 at 7:36 p.m. at the intersection of Jefferson Street N.E. and 119th Avenue N.E., a driver was arrested for DWI.

• On April 6 at 3:57 p.m. at the intersection of Central Avenue N.E. and Clover Leaf Parkway N.E., a driver who drove through the red semaphore said his brakes did not work properly. He was subsequently arrested for DWI.

• On April 7 at 1:59 a.m. at the intersection of Central Avenue N.E. and County Road 10 N.E., a driver was arrested for DWI.

• On April 7 at 8:51 p.m. in the 1700 block of 105th Avenue N.E., a vehicle was stopped for a shoplifting incident. The driver was subsequently arrested for DWI.

• On April 11 at 1:26 a.m. at the intersection of Ulysses Street N.E. and 117th Avenue N.E., a driver was arrested for DWI and drug possession.

Miscellaneous

• On April 5 at 8:39 a.m., an identity fraud on health service was reported.

• On April 6 at 11:44 a.m. in the 9110 block of Quemoy Street N.E., a man was spotted walking around with a Samurai sword. He was located and the sword was confiscated and destroyed.

• On April 9 at 10 a.m. in the 10800 block of Town Square Drive N.E., a check forgery was reported.

• On April 10 at 3:20 a.m. at the intersection of Naples Street N.E. and Lake Drive N.E., a vehicle was stopped for an inoperable brake light. The driver had a suspended license. Three meth pipes and a plastic baggie containing meth were found in a compartment in the dashboard during an inventory search. The man was arrested.

• On April 10 at 4:16 p.m. in the 8550 block of Lexington Ave. N.E., a vehicle was stopped for a signaling violation. The occupants were arrested for possession of drugs.

• On April 10 at 10:16 p.m. in the 9410 block of Baltimore Street N.E., an officer checking random license plates discovered the plates of one vehicle stolen out of Anoka County. Drugs were found in the vehicle. The occupants were cited for drug possession and one man was arrested for possession of stolen property.
