Spring Lake Park/St. Anthony boys’ track won the St. Louis Park Invite, April 24. The Panthers won the seven-team meet, 34 points ahead of St. Louis Park while the girls’ squad settled for runner-up, 48 points behind Edina.
Senior CJ Janu won the 300 meter hurdles in a meet record time of 39.58 seconds and placed second in the 110 hurdles in what would’ve been another meet record of 15.07. Irondale senior Ben Ojika clocked a 14.91 to win the event.
Spring Lake Park senior Jacob Ojile won the 400 meter dash and senior Isaac Krause won the 800.
Panthers junior Ejiya Ejodamen won the triple jump with a distance of 44 feet, 2.75 inches and teammate Connor Keefe was third with a leap of 40-2.
Junior pole vaulter Grant Walter won the event clearing the bar set at 12-0 and senior thrower Daulton Olinger placed second in the shot put with a throw of 48-1.
Panthers junior Melissa Marsh won the 1600 run in 5:40.68.
Senior Kirsten Whitney was second in the 100 hurdles in 18.12 and third in the 300 hurdles in 51.65. She also took third in the pole vault clearing 8-6.
Junior jumper Hallie Vanney was second in the long jump with a distance of 14-9.5 and junior Ashely Fleischfresser was second in the high jump, clearing the bar at 4-8.
Junior Jolene Super was the lone wheelchair athlete participating in the meet, racing in the 100 and 800 with times of 30.04 and 5:03.72, respectively.
