Annual festival at Epiphany

Church of the Epiphany’s annual parish celebration is a weekend-long event May 17, 5 to 10 p.m.; May 18, 11 to 11:30 a.m.; and May 19, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be games, rides, entertainment, food, raffle, bingo, used book sale, petting zoo, jewelry sale, a princess party with Miss Coon Rapids and more.

New this year is a 5K walk/run at 9 a.m. May 18. Register on active.com; there is a $20 registration fee for individuals with discounts for families.

The 451st Army Band will perform at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18 in celebration of Armed Forces Day. The concert begins with a multi-service Color Guard, representation from all five branches of the military and a military equipment display will be available.  Armed forces personnel are encouraged to wear uniforms and awards to this patriotic concert.

The headline entertainment for Friday evening, 7 to 10 p.m., is Hitchville, a country music vocal band. Saturday night (7 to 10 p.m.) will feature The Johnny Holm Band, considered the most widely known and traveled band in America.

A variety of dining options include gourmet pizzas, outdoor food tent with festival favorites, pasta dinner by Chili’s Friday evening, steak dinner Saturday evening, the annual chicken dinner Sunday afternoon and the beer tent.

Raffle tickets will be for sale with $10,000 in cash prizes.
