The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced that Golden Living Centers (GLC) Twin Rivers has been included in the five-star category for skilled nursing facilities.
“Five stars” is the highest rating level, shared by only about 10 percent of skilled facilities nationally. This designation makes GLC Twin Rivers the highest rated skilled nursing facility in Anoka County, according to Sara Licari of Golden Living.
Why five stars? Twin Rivers has achieved excellent results on the three measures that constitute the basis of the scoring: Health inspections, quality measures and staffing information, Licari said.
Facilities with five star ratings are considered to have above average quality compared to other facilities in the state, she said.
GLC Twin Rivers is a 56-bed skilled nursing facility providing post-acute services on a short term, long term or respite basis. It provides physical, occupational and speech therapy along with sophisticated nursing and ancillary service. GLC Twin Rivers specializes in post-hospital rehabilitation and the care of residents with complex needs.
