Parents and community members are invited to attend Spring Lake Park District 16’s “Celebration of Learning.”
The event, offering an opportunity to learn more about and to experience the innovative education taking place throughout the district, will be held Thursday, May 23.
Stop by the schools to see staff and students in action, sharing learning experiences aided by the 2012-13 digital learning initiative to improve students engagement. The initiative also personalizes learning and provides equal access of technology to students.
Nearly 5,000 learning devices, primarily iPads, have been distributed to students in grades two-12. Early childhood students and grade one students have access to iPods.
This is an opportunity for community members to have an up close and personal look at a variety of learning experiences – from tours to student and staff panels.
District 16 serves students from Spring Lake Park and parts of Blaine and Fridley.
