New Horizon Academy has selected MacPhail Center for Music as the primary music provider for New Horizon’s learning enrichment program.
There are New Horizon locations in Andover and Coon Rapids.
Early Childhood Music (ECM) classes offered at the academy are musical babies for ages six weeks to 18 months, musical toddlers for ages 10 months to 33 months and musical preschoolers for ages 33 months to five years.
According to Mary Terrass, executive vice president at New Horizon Academy, research has found that music education facilitates learning in other subjects and enhances skills that children inevitably use in other areas.
“We wanted to offer a quality music enrichment program for the children in our centers, and MacPhail Center for Music has proven to be a wonderful match with all of the learning components we already have in place,” Terrass said.
MacPhail Center for Music has more than 40 years of experience as a national forerunner in early childhood music education with a long successful history of providing high-quality musical learning experiences for young children and their families, according to MacPhail ECM Director Dianna Babcock.
