Memorial Day service honors those who sacrificed

The community gathered at Forest Hills Cemetery in Anoka Monday for the annual Memorial Day service.

It was a chance to reflect and pay tribute to all those in the military who have sacrificed their lives

The service included an address by 1st Lt. Jared Bachelder of the Minnesota National Guard, who is the assistant effects coordinator for the 2nd Battalion, 136th Combat Armor Brigade.

The observance also included music from the North Suburban Concert Band, student participation and memorials to veterans.
