The fifth annual KTIS 98.5 FM’s Joyful Noise Family Fest starts Friday, June 7 and ends Saturday, June 8 at the National Sports Center in Blaine.
This is the first year that the Joyful Noise event has had a Friday lineup and it will include Fairlead (5:30 p.m.), All Sons and Daughters (6:15 p.m.), Gungor (7:30 p.m.), Matt Brown (8:30 p.m.) and Switchfoot (9 p.m.)
Saturday’s lineup includes Heart of the City with UGM Changed Lives Choir (10:25 a.m.), Angi Putney (11:30 a.m.), Adam Cappa (12:20 p.m.), Trevor Morgan (1:10 p.m.), Moriah Peters (2 p.m.), Go Fish (3:15 p.m.), Big Daddy Weave (4:30 p.m.), Tenth Avenue North (5:45 p.m.), Jeremy Camp (7:15 p.m.), Matt Brown (8:15 p.m.) and Third Day (9 p.m.)
Sam Cook, an operations and production manager for the Northwestern College Christian music radio station, said they want Joyful Noise to be an event for the whole family.
Saturday always provides great options for parents and young children, so the format of this day will not change, he said.
Activities include face painting, trampolines, bouncy houses, a rock climbing wall, large slides and much more.
Friday evening’s band selection will be more attractive to middle school, high school and college-age students, Cook said. Full families are still welcome to attend Friday, however.
