A new frozen yogurt shop is open in The Village of Blaine Shopping Center.
Orange Leaf Yogurt opened July 11 at 4365 Pheasant Ridge Dr. NE, Suite 112, near the Green Mill and Bonfire restaurants. It is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
The store has 14 frozen yogurt flavors at one time, but will frequently rotate between 75 flavor options, according to manager Alicia Mitchell.
Orange Leaf’s frozen yogurt is made on-site, Mitchell said. That means the skim milk and different powders, syrups and ingredients such as fresh fruit to make the flavors are mixed together at the location.
Some popular choices such as strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, cheesecake and cookies and cream will be available most of the time, but there are many interesting possibilities depending on the time of the year.
A root beer float flavored frozen yogurt is now being offered for a limited time. When the holiday season comes around, chocolate mint, eggnog and pumpkin will be some of the choices.
If you prefer fruit flavored frozen yogurt, there’s options such as cherry, pineapple, and pomegranate. No bake cookie, oatmeal cookie, raspberry lemonade, red velvet cake and pistachio are a few other kinds that can be tasted during the year.
There will always be numerous candy, cookie and fruit toppings to choose from.
Orange Leaf Yogurt will utilize social media to announce when new flavors are coming in and to ask for suggestions.
This is the first Orange Leaf Yogurt in Minnesota, but a second store will be opening soon in Woodbury. The business has locations all over the country. Its website is orangeleafyogurt.com.
