Anoka Legion installs new officers

The Edward B. Cutter Anoka American Legion Post 102 held the installation of new officers for the 2013-2014 year June 20.

Installing officers were Darrell Redepenning, Past 102 commander, and Lenora Root, past unit president. Also, several past post commanders and past unit presidents helped with the installation.

Installed as post commander was Gary Reimann, as auxiliary president was Lynette Pavin, as Sons of the American Legion commander was Patrick Vevea and as Legion rider director was Dan Soland. This will be a second term of office for all except for Soland..

The American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary are the largest non-profit organization in the United States and for almost 100 years have been serving and supporting veterans and military personal. New members are always welcomed. Stop by the post club rooms at 400 West Main Street in Anoka for more information, or attend a general membership meeting the first Tuesday of the month, 7 p.m.
