Andover man arrested for stealing from family member

An Andover man has been arraigned in Anoka County District Court on felony burglary and vehicle theft charges.

Tucker Anders Long is facing a second-degree burglary and motor vehicle theft counts.

According to the criminal complaint, Long broke into a family member’s Andover home, stole checks and a Ford Explorer July 18. He allegedly forged his family member’s signature on $1,600 worth of checks that he cashed at a credit union.

Long was tracked down through the GPS on his phone. He had left the family member’s home for about 20 minutes before he came back, Long allegedly told police after he was arrested.

Authorities allegedly found $1,372, the vehicle key and marijuana on Long when he was arrested.
