3M Championship: Day 1 photos

Five days after Mark Wiebe won the Senior British Open at Royal Birkdale in five playoff holes against defending 3M Champion Bernhard Langer, the American found himself in contention again, this time after the first round of the 3M Championship in Blaine, Aug. 2.

Wiebe carded an 8-under 64 (three strokes off the course record score of 61) to lead Kenny Perry and Corey Pavin by one stroke.

“I can tell you I’m exhausted—there’s no doubt about it,” Wiebe said of his whirlwind week. “I’m playing on adrenaline; my mind and body are worn out.”
