Warrants issued for arrest of wedding crashers

Warrants have been issued for three people suspected of crashing weddings and stealing gifts for the bride and groom in Brooklyn Park and Ham Lake.

On July 6 a theft occurred at the Edinburgh Country Club in Brooklyn Park, followed by a similar theft July 24 at Majestic Oaks Golf Club in Ham Lake.

In both cases, a male and female couple entered the wedding reception and took a box containing cards for the wedding couple with checks, cash and gift cards, according to Cmdr. Paul Sommer of the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.

In the Ham Lake case, two males and a female were seen, Sommer said.

Both thefts were captured on surveillance videotape.

Arrest warrants in Anoka County have been issued for Derrick Duane Manson, 41, and Aaron Ray Martin, 40. Along with Manson, Brooklyn Park Police are also seeking to arrest Sara Rose Lindstrom, 30. A current address is not available for any of the suspects, whose whereabouts are all unknown.

There is also a third suspect in the Ham Lake case, who has not yet been identified.

“It’s sad that someone would choose to victimize people during the happiest day of their lives,” said Anoka County Sheriff James Stuart. “I am glad that justice is being delivered for the newlyweds.”

People with information about the whereabouts of the suspects are asked to call the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office at 763-427-1212 or the Brooklyn Park Police at 763-493-8222.
