Andover man charged with felony damage to property

An Andover man was arraigned Aug. 6 in Anoka County District Court on a felony first-degree criminal damage to property charge.

Vang Tiet Luu will make his next court appearance Sept. 3.

According to the criminal complaint, Luu smashed a front driver’s side vehicle window with a baseball bat. The 34-year-old woman in the vehicle got cut from glass hitting her in the face and legs and some went into her mouth. She was transported to Mercy Hospital.

Authorities just before 6 p.m. Aug. 3 responded to the Anoka home in the 14200 block of Woodbine St. NW where the alleged incident took place following to a domestic argument.

The woman alleged Luu had got into an argument with his wife and said he was going to kill the kids and everyone in the house.

The 34-year-old woman was allegedly attempting to drive Luu’s two younger children away in her vehicle when their father smashed the window with the bat.
