Coon Rapids Ice Center taking applications for fall skating lessons

The Coon Rapids Ice Center is now taking applications for fall skating lessons through the center’s skating academy.

Fall lessons begin Saturday, Sept. 21 and Monday, Sept. 23 and run for 12 weeks.

They are for figure skaters, hockey players and adults . Lessons will follow the basic skills graded program.

All classes are 30 minutes with an additional 30 minutes of practice time. Rental skates are available.

Class times are scheduled on Mondays from 6:10–7:10 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:35–11:35 a.m., depending on the level.

Students are taught by professional instructors under the direction of Skating School Director Karen Meck, PSA master rated coach.
